This is England Audience Attendence

Digital Distribution- Digital Distribution makes it easier for independent films such as “This is England” to be released in Cinemas, it is also much cheaper for the film to be released using Digital Distribution. However Cinemas are under no obligation to release small, independent over the bigger budget films. This has a negative impact on the smaller budget films.
Certification- Certification had a very negative effect on the audience figures for “This is England”. This is because the films was originally intended for a younger audience however it was given an 18 certificate which meant that the audience it was intended for could not go and see the film.
Release Date- The audience attendance figures for April are on average the lowest for the year, this could have a negative impact on a small budget film such as “This is England” however it also means that the bigger budget films that are usually seen as the competition are not released around this time period.
